AI candidate screening tools that work with Bullhorn
Four options for agencies running Bullhorn, including Bullhorn’s own. What each one actually screens, what it charges for, and which one suits which desk.
Agencies on Bullhorn have four realistic options for AI candidate screening: Bullhorn Amplify, which is first-party; ConverzAI and Sense, which screen by voice and messaging across many ATS platforms; and Alert Hire, which grades every CV against criteria you wrote before any conversation starts. None of the four publishes a price.
What AI screening tools work with Bullhorn?
Four are worth comparing. Bullhorn ships its own, Amplify, whose Screen capability its site describes as conducting, summarising and scoring candidate interviews and routing top talent to the right recruiter. ConverzAI runs voice, SMS and email screening and lists Bullhorn among eleven ATS integrations. Sense runs AI phone screening and conversational messaging and lists Bullhorn too. Alert Hire grades every CV against per-role criteria first, then screens only the candidates above your threshold.
The split that matters is what gets scored. Amplify, ConverzAI and Sense all centre on the conversation. Alert Hire scores the CV against criteria you wrote before anyone is contacted, so the conversation only happens with candidates already worth talking to. Neither approach is automatically right, and which one fits depends on whether your bottleneck is reading CVs or making calls.
| Tool | How it screens | What it is priced on | Where it sits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bullhorn Amplify | Conducts, summarises and scores candidate interviews, routes top talent to a recruiter | Not published, quote only | First-party, inside Bullhorn |
| ConverzAI | Voice calls, SMS and email, described as a virtual recruiter | Not published | Third party, 11 ATS platforms |
| Sense | AI phone screening plus SMS, WhatsApp and chatbot engagement, with matching and scoring | Not published | Third party, wider engagement platform |
| Alert Hire (ours) | Grades every CV against criteria you wrote, then screens above-threshold candidates by SMS, WhatsApp or email | Flat monthly fee per agency, plus completed conversations | Third party, Bullhorn, JobAdder and Workday |
The honest part
Where each one wins
Including the ones that beat us. A comparison that concludes we win every row is not a comparison.
Bullhorn Amplify
First-party. Nothing to integrate and nothing to break when Bullhorn changes an API, one vendor and one invoice, and candidate data never leaves the system you already trust. If you are on a tier that includes it, trying it costs nothing.
ConverzAI
Voice, not text. If you want candidates actually spoken to rather than messaged, that is a different category and Alert Hire does not compete in it. It also covers eleven ATS platforms, which matters for a group running more than one.
Sense
Screening is one part of a much wider engagement, redeployment and nurture platform. If your problem is the whole candidate lifecycle rather than the top of the funnel, a point tool is the wrong shape and Sense is not.
Alert Hire
Criteria written per role in your own words, a readable justification behind every sub-score, and it never declines anyone. Flat fee per agency rather than per seat, the same behaviour on JobAdder and Workday, and candidate data stored in Australia.
Questions
The general list is on the home page. Anything else: admin@alertai.com.au.
Yes. Bullhorn Amplify includes a Screen capability, which its product page describes as conducting, summarising and scoring candidate interviews around the clock and routing top talent to the right recruiter. Bullhorn does not publish a price for it.
Not necessarily, and if Amplify is already in your contract it is the sensible thing to try first. The case for a third party is a different approach rather than a missing feature: criteria you write per role, a justification you can read behind each score, or the same tool working across more than one ATS.
On their own public pages, only Alert Hire describes grading every CV against per-role criteria before contact. Amplify describes scoring interviews. ConverzAI and Sense describe conversation-led screening with matching. If CV grading is what you are buying, ask each vendor directly.
None of the four publishes a rate. Alert Hire publishes its pricing model in full without a number. For the others you will need a quote, and we will not guess on their behalf.
