How Alert Hire is priced
One fee for the agency, an allowance of candidate conversations inside it, and a fixed rate beyond. No per-seat charge and no cut of your placement fee.
Alert Hire is priced as one flat monthly fee per agency, not per seat and not per placement, so adding consultants costs nothing. The fee includes a set number of completed candidate conversations each month, with a fixed rate for each one beyond that, plus a one-off setup fee covering the ATS connection and your first criteria.
Why there is no number on this page
We are early. The first agencies on Alert Hire are helping set the rate, and publishing a figure today would be a guess we would have to correct later. What we can publish is the shape of the bill, which is the part that decides whether it suits how you work.
The model does not change between agencies. The number does, and it moves on one variable: how many candidate conversations you run in a month. Tell us your monthly application volume and how many roles you screen, and you get a figure on the call rather than after it.
The model
Four parts, and only one of them moves
One fee for the whole agency, whatever the size of the team. Adding a consultant does not add to the bill. It is pitched against what a resourcer costs you loaded, because that is the work it takes over.
The fee includes a set number of completed candidate conversations each month. A conversation counts when a candidate has answered your screening questions. Sending a message does not count, and an unanswered outreach does not count.
Go past the allowance and each further completed conversation is charged at a rate agreed up front. The running count is in the dashboard as the month goes, so the bill is never a surprise.
Charged once, at the start. It covers connecting your ATS and writing the criteria for your first roles with you, rather than leaving you to work out a rubric from a blank page.
What it is not
Three things you are not charged for
Not per seat
Every recruiter, resourcer and manager in the agency can use it. Growing the desk does not grow the bill, so nobody has to decide who gets a licence.
Not per placement
You are not sharing a fee with your software. What you bill your client is yours, and a good month costs you no more than a quiet one.
Not per CV
Every application on the role is graded, including the ones below your threshold. The meter is conversations, so reading more CVs never costs more.
Working out what it would cost you
Four questions, and you can answer them before you speak to us.
- How many roles do you screen in a month?
- How many applications does a typical role attract?
- What share of those would you want a screening conversation with? For most desks the threshold lands somewhere between a fifth and a third.
- Multiply them out. That is your monthly conversation volume, and it is the only input that moves the number.
Then hold it against what screening costs you today: a resourcer's salary plus on-costs, or the senior time that goes on reading CVs instead of filling roles, plus the roles nobody got to in time.
Questions about pricing

Because we are early enough that the first few agencies are setting it, and a number published now would be one we had to walk back. The model is fixed and published in full above, so you can tell whether it fits before you talk to anyone.
No. It is one fee for the agency and everyone in it. Per-seat pricing makes agencies ration access to the tool that is supposed to save them time, which defeats the point.
A candidate has answered your screening questions. A message that goes out and gets no reply is not a completed conversation and is not counted, so you are not billed for candidates who never engaged.
No. Grading is not metered. Every application on a role is read and scored, including the ones that fall below your threshold, and a role that attracts three hundred applicants costs the same to grade as one that attracts thirty.
Bring your volumes and we will bring a number
Roles per month, applications per role, and the share you would want to talk to. That is enough for a figure.
